Grey's are usually pretty laid back bird, but they are watching everything that goes on around them all of the time. They are usually not into fighting with other bird and mostly it seems that they ignore birds that they don't like and they actually don't appear to like very many other species of birds. Conures are not from the same part of the world as Grey's and are most likely too aggressive and probably too active of a bird to be much of a match for them. That being said Grey's are still social birds the same as any other parrot and they don't like to be alone. In Africa where they are from Grey's and Senegals have overlapping territories although they don't actually have anything to do with each other, still Senegals are probably more laid back than Conures which strike me to be more like the New World version of the many species of parakeets and are much more energetic in nature. I still am not sure how I would approach this situation. I don't have any conures which also makes it harder for me to know how to approach this as I have no firsthand experience with conures. I would not want to see Skippy all alone but he is at a disadvantage as with his wings clipped he can't fly and is also off balance. He may not be able to fly even when his wings grow back as that may have been done before he fledged preventing him from even learning, there could be muscle atrophy and he requires a much larger space for flight than conures do.
I suppose that I should quit this rambling as it is probably not much help for you and is just me thinking and trying to work out a feasible approach for this.

Rambo and myrtle are bonded in their own weird way. they are buddies that eat, play and talk when they are alone. if they are in different rooms for about an hour Rambo will call myrtle and she will either go to him or contact call back and forth.
myrtle claims me as her human and does not want to share. if I give him attention she will attack even though they are very social and interact with others.

The trick to a successful human/parrot household is for the human to follow the Marines' motto: "Adapt, Improvise, Overcome" and to keep on doing it because, once you solve one issue, another one will pop up. it's the way it is with them...

By the way, your birds sound absolutely DELIGHTFUL! I do the same 'turn' thing only I say: "This is for you" and then move over to another feeding spot and go again "This is for you" and so on and so forth - but, so far, none of them have learned to repeat it.
