Getting cages ready for the trailer - Lucy got so excited

We have a trailer that we spend our weekends and holidays at in the summer and Lucy and Jessie come with us whenever we go there. Their cages are slightly smaller at the trailer, but they absolutely love sitting out on the deck and watching all the other birds and animals.

So last night, we got their smaller trailer cages out to start cleaning them and getting them ready and Lucy got so excited. She started pacing back and forth really quickly and being very vocal. She always gets excited when she goes into her trailer cage and loves the car ride there.

Just thought I'd post because she's so smart and cute. It just blows my mind that she actually remembers from year to year. Little does she know there is still 2 months left before she'll actually get to go.

That is so cool.Your lucky even though i have a really small parakeet i have 2 bro's and 2 sissy's a dog a cat a mom and a dad our car is to packed to bring my bird along!!!!:(

We need to use 2 vehicles to get us, the birds, the kids and all our stuff to the trailer every time we go. Fortunately our trailer is only 15 minutes away from home, so its not too bad.

We teased Lucy again last night. Since the trailer opens this weekend, we were putting the final touches on their cages. We had to keep Lucy in her cage while we were getting the cages ready. It's hard to setup perches and toys with a bird in the cage They'll both go in their trailer cages tonight, so my husband doesn't have to do it on Friday. I think Lucy's definitely ready for the trailer Fortunately it's supposed to be fairly decent weather this weekend, so they should definitely get to spend some time on the deck.
