Add a fake corner with bird safe wood. I give mine tree branches but they would rather eat wood

Get a little clear acrylic sheeting from Lowe's Hardware and a couple lengths of light weight stainless steel chain or plastic chain and a couple of screw hooks with a large washer for each hook and suspend the rope from the ceiling away from the wall and door. At least far enough that he can't chew the paint or treated wood.

You can use any pine wood that is used for indoor construction. It's only the wood for outdoor that is treated. My husband attaches pieces of 2x4s with screws to the corners or any spot that the parrots find 'attractive' to chew on (like around the moldings of the doors, windows, etc) and they happily chew on them. You do end up with a few holes in the walls but they are easy to fill up.

You can buy untreated pine slabs and then cut them and drill holes in them too. As long as I supply my Pois with lots of pine slabs to chew on they will leave walls, furniture and paintings alone. A new toy I make with lots of chewable pieces of wood on it can keep them busy for most of the day and I like to make them strategically when one of them has got stubborn about chewing something they shouldnt. I teach my parrots to not chew on walls, they may be easy to fix but they can be toxic, if you dont know for sure what was used to finish them.

When my jardine has his mind set on something, there's no deterring. He will wake up and go back to that very thing the next day. He lives for it. And I have to vacume up wood scraps from him chewing every day. From the wood I get from home depot. At least, it must be good for his beak.

My Pois are big chewers. I had one painting that Gagaun was sure she needed to chew on the frame. There was no deterring her on that one. I had to move the painting to another room. i am much better at making hanging toys and good chewables now, so I usually can get her interested in the new chewables, especially when she sees me making them.
