Postby ranasrule23 » Sat Jan 16, 2016 5:52 am

Hello. The last owner of my Alexandrine clipped his wing feathers and did a very untidy job.I was wondering how long it will take for featherts to fall out and new ones to grow in ?

It depends on when it was done. if it was done before the birds juvenile molt or if it was done close to the birds normal molting time then it could take as little as a year for all of the feathers to be replaced, otherwise it takes an average of two years.
