Cancer treatment warning

Postby help! » Thu Jun 13, 2019 2:58 pm

I just wanted to put out a warning, I talked to our vet today and he thinks it is probable that my mother’s cancer treatment contributed to the death of he 40 year old grey. He passed away 3 weeks before she did. None of her doctors warned us about anything but I started to get suspicious of the chemical smell she gave off toward the end after hawk died.

I don’t know if we reasonably could have taken him from my dying mother if we knew the risk before hand. They were super bonded, he spent a lot of time comforting her while she was sick and she would have been very upset to rehome an animal but I thought I would post if people were not aware of this possibly.

Posting from an account of someone else in our household.

I am soooo sorry for your loss! It doesn't matter how old we are, losing a mother is awful. I was already a grown woman with grandchildren when it happened and I've never actually gotten over it...

Thank you for taking the time to warn us in your time of grief. It's very appreciated it!

No one addressed your question. I don't really know. It could be the chemicals but I don't have the knowledge on this.

I kept the thread moving in hopes that some one will answer your question.
