This story is not about parrots but about flamingos (there was also the famous male penguin pair that hatched an egg that was given to them and raised the baby, Tango, on their own - second link) but I put it here because people tend to think that pairing two birds of the same sex, even when it's out of their own choice, it's not good and try to separate them - which is wrong. Same sex pairs might not be the 'norm' but it's found in 10% of every single species population. I've had several pairs of birds of the same sex and I have one right now, Naida and Mami Zon, they just love one another...
