Hyacinth Macaw

I met the sweetest little dude yesterday, a Hyacinth. I kissed his big ol' beak and he held my hands. I reeeeeeeeally wanted to take him home, but he was extremely expensive. I will post a picture of him later as I have to go to work. Anyway, I fell in love with this bird.

Does anyone here on the site have experience owning such a beautiful large bird? They seem to have very sweet and mellow temperaments.

All macaws are very sweet-tempered as long as they are treated right - but then, I guess one could say the same of any species although the macaws seem to be particularly laidback compared to other large species.
