Kea gets ice for extreme heat

Postby Pajarita » Wed Aug 28, 2019 10:47 am

The title says 'ice bath' but the bird is not bathing, it's just doing what parrots always do: push things out of the way on to the floor. In this case, it's ice cubes. Now, please remember that keas are the ONLY alpine parrot so, to them, low temperatures are fine but, in my personal experience, all parrots enjoy cold or cool water for a bath much more than lukewarm.
