Actually, houses have the 'space' because a guest bedroom can be made into a birdroom very easily but a finished attic and even a garage can work, too.... it's just a matter of putting in it what is necessary for a bird (windows -and skylights, if possible- floors that are easy to wash and -VERY important- protection from chewing beaks
