As I have stated many, many times, parrots make deductions and reach a conclusion. This study proved that they not only considered probabilities in their choices but that they also remember similar situations and apply that knowledge to new ones predicting the outcome of their choices (it's the fact that they have, same as humans and great apes, what it's called 'domain-general intelligence' which is the ability to combine two different sources of information into one decision - how cool is that?!). You can trick a dog and you can trick a cat but you cannot trick a parrot more than a couple of times because they will KNOW!
