Bird Love

Postby Pajarita » Mon Mar 09, 2020 11:04 am

A book written by a bird lover and biologist on the breeding and chick raising behaviors and strategies of birds - and guess what kind of bird is on the cover: Yep, parrots! Keas to be more precise...

I am posting this here because people who own parrots usually forget that having a mate or, at least, a companion of their own species is so very necessary for these birds wellbeing. They were never meant to be alone and humans are not a good substitute for their needs.

First link is about the book and the second link is an interview with the writer (and I recommend you read it). ... /bird-love ... life-birds
