My bird tries to mate with me? :((

It likes to sit on my head and rub its lower belly in my hair.

It looks like very strange behavior and I assume it is trying to mate. If i'm correct...

Well, don't know much about your bird, sounds like a young male, #1 don't let him sit on your head.remove him and give him something else to do,ie;distract him from that behavior, #2 he'll probly mature and get over it , it may take awhile, just be careful in not rewarding him after wards, inother words, don't wait to remove him. remove him before the unwanted behavior begins. i would let him know that the behavior is not to be tolerated, just a young bird trying to find his place in the flock,that's my 2cents worth,

please note that Richard is not saying in his post to punish your bird. As he points out, don't let your bird sit on your head if he persists in this behaviour - simply remove him & distract him w/o a lot of fanfare.
