hi everyone. the two senegals we aquired on friday have yet to play with their toys (that ive seen). the play gym with the swing on top of their cage has been climbed on but mainly just to perch. no swinging. bought a couple circular hanging perches one with nuts and the other with some colorful strings tied onto it. they are all completly ignored. there was one wooden toy in the cage with a bell when they were given to us that looks like its been chewed on here and there but mainly it looks old and ignored as well. i feel like these two have been ignored for such an amount of time that they have no idea what play is. whats a good way to teach them that toys arent scary without the help of another bird to learn from? i know these two have yet to come out of their shells (teehee) completly and i understand this will definatly take some more time but i also want them to interact and have fun with their things when we're not around to give them attention. thanks for any suggestions!
