Tap or Bottled Water is the Question?

Would like to know if you all use Tap or Bottled Water .? Right now I'm using tap water but thinking of swithching to bottled.

If it hasn't harmed your parrot yet, why switch? As long as there aren't heavy metals in the water, it is probably fine.

We drink tap water and so do the critters in the household. The water quality is pretty good here, and I've read articles comparing analyses of bottled and tap water which indicate some bottled waters don't meet the quality standards of most city water sources.

That said, there are occasional days when the water comes out of the tap smelling a bit of chlorine. On those days, I pull the water from the fridge, which runs it through a filter.

Humans and birds drink tap water in our house. The only time we give bottled water is when we're at our trailer ... we are warned not to drink the water there.

I use tap water, however i let it stand for a day in a wide mouth jar too release the chlorine.

I guess the reason why I was asking is cuz i read some where bottled is better and my water smells like chlorine... BUT if tap is safe then I will stay with tap. Was just curious is all . Thanks for the responce.

It really depends on the quality of your tap water. In some areas of the US, there are a lot of heavy metals and other compounds that leach into the water. In that case, I would use bottled. The tap water around here is perfectly safe to drink but I don't love the taste of it, so I use filtered tap water.

We have pretty good tap water here. My family, my birds and my dog all drink from it. If I were to live in the country though, with well water, I'd give them bottled water.
