Try moving his perches and toys around.
Add a few new toys in his cage.
Very true: I like to change up my budgie's toys every couple of weeks and I try to rearrange perches completely every month or so. Sputnik's got a huge number of toys that get rotated through. Try to have a couple of each kind of toy (not necessarily in the cage at the same time, but so you can alternate between them) - chew/destroy toys, plastic/acrylic play toys, climbing toys, preening toys, puzzle/forage toys... then he can decide what type of toy he wants to play with.
The change in sleep patterns for the weekend probably wouldn't be enough to upset him, but did he start screaming at your parent's house? Maybe it's the new smells and sights? When I moved apartments the quaker parrot I was caring for at the time freaked out - she totally didn't like the new place. I think because it was darker, and it had a lot of dark wood which might have scared her too. She started screaming ... moving her cage to different places to see where she felt more comfortable did help. Did you get a new plant or picture or anything that he can see?
Is he really screaming, or just singing loudly? When I vacuum or do dishes Sputnik loves to get really loud. He really practices his talking too when the TV's on, and I love to listen to him so I guess I don't really notice how loud he gets most times. Maybe before you sit down to watch a movie you can spend some time with your bird being loud, encouraging loudness, and have him fly around for a bit - then maybe during the movie he'd be tuckered out and just want to sit quietly and rest. Or you can try giving him a bath too, and then he might sit and keep himself busy preening himself during the movie. Otherwise, unless he's actually screaming, I think having "ambient" noise is part and parcel of having a bird in the house!
Also, not sure what screaming might mean in terms of health issues, but if he continues to scream, you might want to get him checked out by a vet?
