When I go to the door it stops but I am hearing new songs from the cockatiel room. I don't know if it is one of the newer males starting to sing or if Shadow and Tommy are picking up on songs from the neighbors cockatiel. They can hear each other. I have the window open in the cockatiel room and the neighbor has her cockatiels in her screened Florida room.

I don't hear Max anymore and Jackie gave up on him. I will remove him from my profile.

Had to bring Becky back to NC. We got in at midnight. Have to get back to FL. Myrtle is on a rampage again. Loaded the car as fast as I could and leaving now. This is my ninth trip. If I have to do it again I will have to bring Myrtle with me.

I don't know who Becky is... Liz, I really cannot believe you are doing all these trips back and forth and not one of your kids! And, of course the zons are suffering - too much upheaval and too many changes without you been there all the time.

Becky is a friend closer than a sister.

That was my ninth trip. The last truck came down. I will still need one or two more to put the house for sale and then to close on it.

Rachel loaded the truck with the movers and Chuck helped unload when they got here.
I pushed hard to make the trip in 10.5 hours. I got in at 12:30 and all the critters woke up and came after me for their hello. They woke me up at 7 am to tell me how much they missed me.

Chuck has been doing maintenance on the old house, everything from door locks to air conditioner.
I keep telling them that these are suppose to be my Golden Years.

My son has stepped up and taken over anything he thinks I need help with. He had offered us his second lot to put a mobile home on so we would be near by for him to help.
I am afraid that my daughter is much like her dad. It is always me first. I divorced her dad after he started putting himself first and the kids after.

Aunt Betty (without asking) has taken full responsibility for the cats. She feeds them and even pooper scoops. I am amazed. She is also staying awake during the day and sleeping at night.

Rambo is doing well. He has a window that faces the road. It gives him extra enrichment. He talks to cars and says hello to the joggers going by. He can see the driveway and talks to me as I go back and forth to bring groceries in. The dog fence has been moved and he can now see into part of their fence. We talk when I am working in the front yard.

Myrtle is still hyperactive. She is getting into everything because I did not have time to parrot proof before we moved in. I have bath towels all over the house to cover thing that I don't have time to fix. She loves that my son is here so much.

Even my handicapped cockatiels are doing well. I have their light in the overhead fixture but they still all cram into the window. I have to find some untreated wood to enlarge their window sill. I have a ladder so that even the handicaps can get up to the window.
I hear screaming a couple times a day as if they are scared. I finally ran to them in time to see what was happening. They have started a new game it is called knock them off the perch. Flutter started it but they all take turns now. They take flight and circle the room until they have all the others flying in circles. They are not playing with toys. I don't know what is up with that.

Yea. That is what it seems like.

Gimpy, the one legged cockatiel in VA is now mine. He is in quarantine with Rachel. He is very fat. Would you believe that some idiot trimmed his wings. No wonder he is so fat. He can't walk very well and then they took flight from him.
The woman said he was being picked on for being different. I already have three that are handicapped so he won't be different.
Rachel says he climbs by putting his nub through the wire for balance.

Goes to prove that common sense is not so common.
It sounds like a whole grain and fresh veggie diet along with liver tonic of milk thistle may be in order for him at least until you get his weight down.

Where do I get it?

He is going to loose a little weight just by getting attention. Until now all he had to do was eat.
The rescuer passed the story to Rachel that his band had caused an infection. His humans did not take it off or take him to a vet. He had to chew his leg off.

Rachel is giving him a lot of attention. When she is home he is in the same room. She can't whistle so I told her to use yoohoo as a contact call. He might not learn yoohoo but he will learn to make a whistle some what like it.
