Forget moving in with my boyfriend. I'm coming to move in with your birds!

Paaaahaha... wrinkly aliens

Roz you should have put that blog post on the "People with parrots can't have other pets" thread! You look like you have a pretty similar assortment as where I used to live!! My family had pygmy goats and I used to show reining horses, so I was always taking our animals out to ride with me... and that was to desensitize the HORSE. Rocky looked a little unsure of the little colored feather balls :P What a good boy.

Um. . . NO. Don't really want to get flamed as being one of the stoopid people, even though I'm sure that's the opinion. Anyone who knows dogs can see that the dogs are very focused on the handler who's out of frame and not on the birds. But that's dog training and not pertinent to this forum.

and that was to desensitize the HORSE. Rocky looked a little unsure of the little colored feather balls :P What a good boy.

Rocky is such a DRAMA QUEEN!! I need to dye him pink. Forget the dogs and cats - the horse was the most dangerous thing. Bird slips, horse shifts his feet and I have sail birds.

A few weeks ago we were at a horse therapy fundraiser. There were camel rides going on. I asked the handler can I get a pic of a camel w/ Ducky. She was like - I think your bird will be terrified. I told her - doubt it. It was very cute - Ducky was preening the camel's whiskers while the camel was sniffing him. I got the pic but MY STOOPID DIGITAL CAMERA FARTED AND THE PIC GOT DELETED!

There's the "don't attempt this at home" warning on the blog. Regardless, I thought you guys would enjoy the pics!

You should be fine. Im still in school and when i had a parrot, he was happy as lobg as he had interesting toys to play with. I found a mirror was very good, a bit like having friend, without having a second bird. Or like someone else said, foraging toys are great. There are lots of toys that will really exercise your parrots mind. You sound like you really care about your parrot :)
RIP Bo. your epicness lives on in all budgies :D
