Getting a parrotlet baby!

Postby HeatherFeather » Thu May 12, 2011 7:48 pm

COLOR ME EXCITED!

I have been emailing heavily with a nice little hobby breeder [not] in my area and I have decided to go with one of her parrotlot chicks when it's weaned. I cannot wait! She is going to save a little American White for me. I am just in love with that powder blue!

I'll be taking an early morning road trip to meet her when the day comes, it'll be around the 4th of July. Just had to share! I will be bombarding the board with photos as soon as I choose which one is mine!

This is me :danicing:

New babies are so exciting! I was considering a parrotlet, but ended up (and fell in love!) with a green cheek conure. Maybe someday!

Weeeee!!! Exciting indeed!!! Good luck waiting, I've had a deposit on a little Eclectus boy for the past two weeks and I'm already going stir-crazy waiting for him!! Should be any day now though, and at least I got to visit him a few times because he's relatively local. You'll definitely have to give us loadsa pictures =D

Oh how very exciting!!! I love parrotlets, and was *this* close to getting a pacific green, as in, about to get in the car and make the drive to my favorite bird store when I got the call back from the lady wanting me to take her lovebird. Couldn't pass the little beauty up. I can't wait to hear all about your new baby!! Baby parrotlets make such sweet little cheeeeep cheeeeps! :hatched:

Congrats Heather!

I love all the mutations they have of the parrotlets! When I worked with birds the only ones around were Pacific Green and Blue :)

I have a breeder customer who has pastels and whites! They are so adorable - I almost leave with one each time I drop of her orders :D
