I just put all three of them in the shower and they all love it. Cheney Bird sits there with his head up and lets the water just get everywhere. Pigpen actually sings, which I've never heard her do before. And No Name tries to move closer to the water. The budgies are so calm now that I actually managed to trim Pigpen's nails! Both even let me pet them. :D Now put them near a sink and you'd think I was trying to drown them.

Toby's a very dominate and sometimes an aggressive bird. I have to constantly make sure that we don't accidentally allow him to get too alpha bird on us. I'm sure he'd try to boss me around if he got accustomed to the shower as well. Gotta love those senegals!

I've never met a Senegal, but I have hird they can be kind of pushy. I tend to like South American and Australian birds more than the African birds. But I'm not really sure my GCC is trying to bite me; it's more like he's trying to use his beak to push me out of the way so he can get to the water.

They do make some perches you can suction cup onto the wall. I don't have one because I just hold my birds in the shower and then put them on the shower curtain rod. I'd get one and see how that works. It may even stop the screaming because they usually preen afterwards. My guys were quiet for the better part of three hours after their shower.

Wait, you said you wear a towel on your head when you come out of the shower? He might be afraid of the towel. Try going near him when you're wet, but without the towel around your head and see if he still reacts the same.

I've heard of birds who are afraid of hats. This might just be a different manifestation of that. :P

Myrtle doesn't like curlers in my hair and picks them out.

Or maybe he hears the water and wants in then gets angry because you didn't let him.

my parrot hates when i have a towel on my head but wehn i take it off and i talk to him he calms down. in my parrots mind towel = enemy. they use them at the vet, at the parrot shop to clip his nails and wings, to give him medicine basically if i go near him with a towel he'll attack it. i couldnt figure out why he hated it when i came in my room after a shower for a long time lol
A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song. <3

:amazon2: Myrtle had the towel experience at the vet. They would not let me hold her while they did her nails. She was so affraid. They took her from me, wrapped her up and turned her on her back.

After our showers I towel off then take her off her perch wrapped in a towel. The towel means two things in two places.

Of course I am a little partial to my kids and believe they are all exceptional.

It is still dark in the house but :greycockatiel: Shadow started singing as soon as I got to the coffee pot.
