how do I choose a perfect female for my male budgie

hello everybody!
I want to buy my litle friend a female companion but the problem is that I don't know how to choose her... :roll:

I think that a younger one is better for him (and me too) but what about her colour or other details?

i think they should be same age. or maybe you could take ur budgie to a bird shelter or pet store or where ever you want to buy the other budgie from. and leave ur budgie with other budgies. pick one that he seems to connect with or doesnt instantly fight with. or watever budgie he makes the "cutest couple" with

i dont think colours is such a big concern. you will learn to bond with any colour eventually, and so will your male budgie. it's about what he likes
