I have let my Meyers parrot take food from my mouth regularly for eight years and she has never been sick. It's neither disgusting nor very dangerous. Sure we humans have lots of bacteria in our mouths, but it's not going to kill them.

I don't understand why you would do that, would you let someone eat our of your mouth? It's pretty gross imo. Mmmm.. let's just feed the birds spit covered mush...

Exactly. Why put a birds life in danger simply because you feel like "mouth feeding" your bird. There is not really any reason you would need to feed your bird from your mouth since they have their own mouths. I'm not quite sure why some people do this as it is quite literally "riskin it for a biscuit".

The danger of OUR bacteria hurting the birds is much much higher than the other way around... Don't get all worked up on birdie germs when the saliva from our mouth can actually kill birds.

Oh, I definitely hear ya on that, and with me bein' as OCD'ish as I AM, I can 100% promise ya THIS.....

Nuthin' is EVER gonna go from MY mouth into my birds...AND visa versa.
