Senegal Eye Color Change

Postby alliethebirdnerd » Fri Sep 16, 2011 10:43 am

I have a DNA male Senegal parrot, he's 8 months old, appears to be the mesotypus subspecies, & i really haven't noticed any eye change. I was under the impression that it would happen by 6 months after his first molt. His molt is almost over now. If anyone has a male senegal around what age have you observed the eye change? And how long does it take? I've been looking it up everywhere, and can't seem to get a clear answer.

Kili's eyes didn't even start to change until about 1.5-2 years old and it seems that they didn't reach their full yellow color until about 3 years.
