First Night Fright :-(

Postby MeanDonnaJean » Sun Oct 16, 2011 2:08 pm

My cockatiel, Zoey, had her very first (and hopefully, her very last) night fright today at about 4:15 a.m. I had just awoken and heard her as I was walkin' thru the house towards the bathroom. I dunno if maybe it was me who scared her but this is somethin' that I do regularly a couple of times a night so I can't see why it would startle her so badly now.

Thankfully tho, she calmed down very quickly, and the worst that happened to her was a loss of approximately 4 tail feathers.

I think it affected me more than it did her. Nope, I don't think it did....I know it did!

Zoey can hear more than you can. On other nights she probably heard you when you first moved to get out of bed. She might have been in a deeper sleep and was startled to hear then next noises before the first.

Or ----- she could have got a toe cramp or somthing that woke her up fast.
