Did you go with a reputable breeder? May I ask who it is?

Make sure the breeder REALLY socializes the baby and ask if he'll accustom the baby to a harness before it weans. Harness training is a PAIN, and only if the breeder will start training a wee little chick to wear one, you'd have a breeze putting it on when it comes home.

One last update on here since I created a new thread for the baby updates. I was looking into adopting a Yellow Collared Macaw from a bird store called Our Feathered Friends, here in San Diego, CA. The poor Macaw was nearly plucked bald! (if you go back a few pages in the thread, you can see pics of it) I just wanted everyone to know IT WAS ADOPTED!! :D  I went there .. Saturday, January 14th and it was not there. I had previously checked their website in December, I believe, and it was no longer listed for sale. I'm assuming it has been gone for a month now. Hopefully to a good home. I should have asked to be sure though. :( If I go back, I'll ask to be sure. I just wanted to ease some troubled minds. I know when I posted pics, the poor thing looked terrible. I'm praying it did finally get adopted.

Thank you Paper Lantern :) I will post pictures of the baby Grey as soon as I receive some. :) I'm more than positive I'll be back at the bird store buying supplies so I can ask about the Macaw. :)
