Hello....trying to research the topic but have a concern. My senegal "oscar" is out of his cage and interacting with myself or family members for about 5 or 6 hours per day which i have found is plenty (based on my research), but wonder if he is getting the proper amount of exercise. Oscar is a free flighted bird but I think he is either extremely cautious or lazy...possibly a combination of the two, because he seldom flies. He will fly if he wants something (which may partially answer my own question) but generally prefers to walk, climb or sit. Just wondering if Oscar should be "forced" to fly more often in order for him to get enough exercise or is he getting enough through our daily activity. Looking out for the best interest of Oscar and want him to continue to be a family member for as long as possible.
Thanks for any responses,
Wayne
