My GCC sleeps in a little fleece tent that hangs from the top of his cage. Before I got him he didn't have a shelter in his cage so he slept awkwardly on a toy, but he quickly got used to, and now loves his tent. He loves tunnelling in any dark cozy place. Though, I think the preference for sleeping in cozy things is pretty normal for most conures. I don't know about many other species though.

I have a Nanday Conure.
I tried a hanging fleece hut but he wasn't going anywhere near that thing. I took it out since it was taking up realestate in the cage and replaced it with a fleece corner thing that he can sort snuggle into. but still, he doesn't go anywhere near it either.

Our bird was scared of his fleece tent when we first got it. We got him used to it by introducing it to him outside of his cage during play. We gave him treats and played with him while he was near the tent. But I suppose some birds just don't care for them.
