3 months old Senegal Parrot

Hi,
I just bought a 3 months old Senegal parrot. She's always scared inside and outside her cage. She doesn't eat or drink. I don't know what to do, im worried about her. I take her out of her cage and pet her for an hour or an hour an a half usually 2-3 times a day. I've only had her for a few days now, the only thing she ate was millet and off my hands only. Also, can I put stands in her cage or she's still young?

I think she will be eating and drinking but when you aren't looking otherwise she would be very ill by now if not dead, definitely safe to say she's drinking at any rate. She's probably nibbling the food when your not looking too but if you want to check how much she's eating then weight the food you give her before you put it in, leave it in, then weigh it again at the end of the day. Bear in mind this isn't totally accurate as birds tend to fling food all over the place so you will need to try to assess roughly how much of the difference in weight has ended up on the cage floor/outside her cage. Are you feeding her the food she was eating before you got her? If not get some then change her over to what you want her to eat gradually, new food may put her off from eating much as she may not recognise it as food.

Not too sure what you mean about putting a stand in her cage?

I was feeding her millet off my hands and then I left the millet inside her cage and I started watching her. She ate it all and then drank some water, that was a relief. But now I'm worried if millet is all she'll eat? I don't think I can only give her millet?

Feed her whatever she was weened onto until she stabilizes. Then you can work on improving the diet if it isn't ideal.
