Parakeet keeps rotating neck

Postby Azza_ftw » Sun Apr 15, 2012 9:08 am

Since yesterday, my one budgie keeps moving its neck about all the time, considering he sleeps with his head tucked it a lot, could he just be excercising his neck? Or does he just have a neckache like when we do?

Any help will be appreciated :)

And there has been no difference in droppings either which is good.

He may have a slightly sore neck, one of my birds did that but was generally ok the next day. If it carries on though or you notice anything else (Not eating as much etc) get him to the vets to be on the safe side.

Thanks for your help, I think where he's constantly moving his neck, he cant see properly. But he does go down on the floor to eat the seeds that have spilled and he does eat but I think the lack of vision isn't helping him move around much.
