You can see our situation in today's introductions. The grey may chase the 'too away from food, but that's their only real conflict. They preen each other quite often, and sit together sometimes. I won't say they're inseparable after a year, but they seem to be growing closer.
Our galah is not loud, nothing like the ubrella we had for a couple of months. We have to cage her for a time-out occasionally when she gets real persistent with chewing. I never wanted her in the first place, and wife gets exasperated with her destruction, but has made a lifetime commitment to her. She's one and a half years old, and doesn't talk at all.
Others don't believe in clipping wings; we don't believe in cages, except for sleeping and time-out (different cages).
We're retar'd, so around the birds most of the time. If you are working class, the companion might be a good idea. We saw a CAG at the bird store that was given all the toys, but alone all day, and his front was plucked clean.
Grey owners seem to be attracted to galahs; guess it's the color.
