My aunt had a BCC, such a sweet bird. I don't know if he was an exception but he never bit. He was very loud but he spoke well for a conure, knew tricks, and loved to cuddle. As for me, I have a Green cheek! Great little guy, bossy, opinionated, and mischievous but also very bright and cuddly, he's my best friend!
I think its great that you have done so much research, and I agree that we never feel "ready" enough. I did years of research before I decided on a GCC, and if you read my posts here from before I got him, I was a nervous wreck. I was scared I wouldn't be able to handle taking care of a parrot, that I would mess up, etc. However once I had him here, I realized that I was indeed well prepared
