it this normal?

Postby naomi » Thu Jun 14, 2012 12:12 pm

hi,
i read from many post and site if parrots like to take nap in afternoon.i also ask all my friend have parrots and they said mostly the bird relax and take a nap in afternoon.
but why my :gray: is very active and never take a nap?is this normal?i never feed him anything makes him extra active/sugary stuff.i always home and i had him for 3 months already,i never seen him nap through the day light.either making sound/eat/preen or he will play with his toys.he do this non-stop until his sleeping time around 10 pm and sometimes he refuse to sleep too.is this really normal hyper active behavior?

thanks for the answer!!

your goffin will be fine i have kids running around all the time, my :gcc: on my shoulder talking all while mya's trying to nap. but if you want quiet time wear the :gray: out the best way being flight, but it says yours aren't so try some trick training before goffins usual rest time.

Rambo and the tiels always took naps in the afternoon when the other critters did.
Myrtle did not go into that routine for about 6 months. She stayed awake playing while the others slept but then she would sleep longer at night.

in other hand my goffin fall down because of shock and my husband almost got a heart attack!i tried to target him and i got him clipped from beginning,i just hope his feather grow faster so he can fly and burn some energy.
