Are you planning on raising the babies? Rearing bird babies is very complicated and shouldnt be done by anyone without A LOT of research, training and advice from breeders.

If you would, I think it would be a lot more humane of you to just boil the eggs, however harsh it may seem! This is said without any disrespect intended AT ALL, I only want the best for your birds and you. Breeding budgies isnt going to help anyone, there are already tons of birds being abandoned by their owners, budgies being one of the most common bird there is in the pet area. Please dont do this without thinking it through very hard, and doing what I said in my first paragraph, RESEARCH, TRAINING, AND ADVICE FROM EXPERIENCED PEOPLE. Otherwise you may end up hurting your current and possible future birds :( .

I agree with everything said here. I dont think its inhumane to stop the eggs from developing as long as you do it within a short time of them being laid. They won't have begun developing at that point so your not killing anything as such.

Fair enough about your title but I have met someone who genuinely believed birds had proper pregnancies like most mammals do :S

Oh noes! I mean... I could give the eggs to the breeder and they could raise them. I wouldn't want to raise the birds myself at this point. I have no idea what I'd be doing!

Well, that's just silly. Birds aren't mammals... they're birds. But hey thanks for the advice I can absolutely see where you all are coming from. I wouldn't want to raise the birdies myself. I have done a great deal of research, but I also do not have the time in the day to raise baby birds myself. I was pretty much just weighing out my options. There is a bird store very close to my house and I stop in there very often to see the birds and buy my birdies toys and such. I spoke to the owner and they said that they would take the eggs If she does pass any. We'll see what happens. Thanks a ton for the good advice.
