Today, Tiki was screeching for me when I was in another room. I call back to her by saying her name to let her know I hear her. I went into the room where she was and she flew at me, landing on my shoulder. She then bit my face -- not hard, though -- and I asked her to step up and she'd try to bite. She wouldn't step up so I went to grab her with my hand. I was saying "Ow" as I was doing this and she apparently didn't like it. She avoided my grab, flew down, and I went to get her. She then started screaming and ran/flapped away from me. She waddled into another room and I coaxed her there, and FINALLY was able to get her to step up. Now she is on her cage, completely ignoring me with her back turned to me, and if I approach, she'll freak out and flap/fly away, screaming. In her mind, it's like a lover's spat!
Tiki has wigged out like this before when I painted my fingernails. When will she get over these angry/hurt feelings that she is feeling? I'm speaking softly to her and doing our calls, and she still has her back to me. It's hilarious but I wonder if she will get over it. Does anyone have any advice/input? She is so ticked at me.
