well as to the halogen bulbs themselfs I wouldnt be to worried to be honest sicne if they were leakign they wouldnt light up, if you remove the gass from inside a bulb all you would have is a glowing peice of hot metall. as for the oven, if the whole owen were to be teflontreated or something I would consider that a bigger problem.

Btw I do not work at a lightbulb company or something but I am pretty sure the gas stays inside the bulb unless you breake the glass, but someone else may have some other answer to that, or a confirmation to ease your mind.

I don't know about halogen but I know the gas in energy saving lightbulbs can be toxic to a bird when broken. I am wary of anything like that because I am terribly accident prone at times. I don't think the halogen will leak but if theres any chance that you might damage the oven accidently then I wouldn't go there. Also avoid if the oven contains any teflon whatsoever. You could always contact the manufacturer and ask them the same question though.

Hello
This is bit of risk when your parrot can fly and bit naughty in nature. You need to maintain some distance while working with oven. It is hard to say anything but you need to be aware enough

hi everyone
in reply to the people who helped me with this thread in the end i got a normal microwave combi panasonic oven my parrot is fine as she does not often go in the kitchen she is mostly in the bed room shoer room or front room while in her cage because i have a yucca plant in my front room so i dont like her being loose in there plus my kitchen is open plan so its best to keep her in her cage in the front room but she goes in her cage half outside the front door to get some sun
