My aunt recently got a budgie from a Petland Store here in Saskatchewan (I live in Alberta, we are just visiting for the weekend, until Monday). She has just started to notice that she may be allergic to it, and has offered for me to take the bird; cage, toys, food and all. But my family is hesitant because we had all agreed on getting a budgie in December, not right now. However I wouldn't mind taking the budgie off her hands as long as my family is on board. She
could take the budgie back to the store on those grounds, because the bird probably(I am not sure about that exact store, not all Petlands do the 30 day guarantee) has the 30 day guarantee.
We would be taking the budgie on a 7 hour car trip back home if we did decide to adopt her/him... but I am just not sure about it, it is very out of the blue and I am just a little unprepared.
So if anyone has any opinions or concerns they could voice, I am all ears! Please give me your honest opinion of the situation.

Thanks,
