Wow you are a horrible person. Also all caps? Really?

Wanted to give an update.
So someone called the house last week while I was out, but my sister was home, telling her he had found Captain and had him in a cage at his house. My sister called me and told me the news and I couldn't help but feel a surge of joy, I was with my bf at the time and he told me not to get my hopes up, but I couldn't help it.
My sister called though a minute later telling me she had doubts about the call, the guy was rather vague about any details my sister asked about Captain, and the call ended abruptly. When I got home my sister told me the house number that Captain was at and I decided to check it out. The street was back to back with mine so I didn't have to go far. I knocked on the door and a girl answered, I asked her about a phone call I recieved and she said she didn't know anything about it. She said that it may be her ex boyfriend trying to stir up trouble.
My heart sank so I went home feeling rather depressed. My bf and mum tell me that most likely he's gone, and part of me agrees with them. Mostly because of the weather, it's been wet and cold with strong winds, and of course we had Bonfire Night. I'm not sure wwhat Captain would be like with all those fireworks going off.
I'm not giving up yet though, I'm still hoping to find him. One day.

I got a phone call 15 mins ago from a guy saying he knows of someone who's found a Cockatiel, it landed on his head. He says he saw my poster and checked the house name for me. He knows the people in the house and doesn't want to get involved, but I'm glad he called. I'm going on Friday to see if it is him, but they removed his leg ring! But I have video evidence if they don't believe me. And my dad knows them so he's coming with me to back up my story. I want to go tomorrow after work, but my dad says that it'd be better to go during the day. Wish me luck that it's my sweet little Captain.

Thank you, I'm hoping they still have him. But they must have knows he was missing, what other reason would they have to remove his ring?

Good luck! I truly hope and pray its your captin, and they give him to you without any problems!

Also if it is your parrot they can micro chip birds for exactly this situation and all that would have to be done is a quick check to prove he is yours. Just letting you know.

My parrot had an open leg band and it was a little bent my vet was afraid it would snag on something so he cut it off and I wanted a way to be able to identify him still so I got him micro chipped. My parrots a green cheek conure but I'm sure they do :greycockatiel: as well.

Anyway, again good luck.

Good luck! My thoughts go out to you and Captain! I hope you get your birdie back!
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, but unfortunetly it wasn't him, apparently.
I went to the house where Captain was thought to be at, I asked the woman who answered if they'd found a bird, and she said that it was a small yellow bird. And that someone had claimed it, I showed her a picture of Captain and she said it wasn't him, my mum was with me and asked how big the bird was. The woman said she wasn't sure, but she said it was the size of the picture of Captain I showed her. I think she thought that Captain was small.
I listened out to see if I could hear him but I heard nothing. I'm wondering if that man will phone me like he said he would. I'll have to wait and see. Another dissapointment.
I don't really believe her, but I'll see if the man who called me anonymously will call again tonight. He said he would to see how it goes. I also called around all the local vets and asked if any Cockatiels had been brought in to have their leg rings removed but they all said no. One asked for my number and said they'd call me if they had any Cockatiels brought in.
The weather hasn't been helping either, my posters keep getting ripped off no matter how much selotape I plaster on them. It's frustrating.
