Janetafloat, you and your senegal sound a bit like Pod and I. Though, when I leave...he screaming stops literally after he has heard me lock the door. which because of this...I am beginning to think that he is just the worlds biggest aggrivating manipulator. Usually before entering my apartment... he is quiet and all i hear is low music that i keep on for him.... But, today...I heard him chuckling and making noises and setting off his electronic toys...of course when I opened the door though... he screams at me so horrifically. then i let him out immediately of course and he calms down. Actually, lately he just wants to go under this little tunnel under the drawer part of my desk. I have the only parrot in the world it sounds like, that likes to primarily be on the floor or under things. I have heard all of the opinions...but am still choosing to keep my beloved pet. I work with him every morning. He is out of the cage, gets some stimulation through trick training/flight and goes in the shower with me... on his perch. I am thinking of getting a canary for added stimulation in my home while gone besides music and a fish tank...and plan to hopefull extend his cage size by attaching another. He also likes his cage and goes in and out of it when i am home. But, I think a lot of that is to do with his obsession with electronic toys in there. I have a plastic hide out on the bottom of his cage too... and always leave something in there for him beside another electronic. Right now it is a small battery operated piano but there is a button on there that he likes to walk on and when he sets it off... he comes out of there with this look of mischieve on his face. As if I dont know all about it.
