The latest edition of Scientific American has some fascinating info in parrot intelligence: A cockatoo named Figaro created a tools out if bamboo and splinters off a wooden beam to fetch a variety of items, such as a pebble and nuts. Ten times in a row, Figaro was able to use a tool successfully to retrieve a nut! Cool, huh?
