Tiki = Terrible Twos

Postby GreenWing » Tue Jan 08, 2013 9:06 pm

So, Tiki is the feathered love of my life. Food management has improved things greatly (thanks, Michael!) and the mating dances have nearly stopped entirely. BUT she can be, well, a typical two year old (ahem, a bit of a brat) to get her way.

From time to time I will put her in her cage and she reacts by gnawing at the cage bars trying to bite her way out. Is this typical? Can it harm her? She has toys in her cage to distract but probably could use a new shiny one since she already obliterated her Christmas presents... :o

I realize I spoil this beast but I want to be the best mother I can be to my beaked toddler :mrgreen:
