Complain complain.... it's just practice for scraping bird cages and all the other sorts. Parrot owners should be used to it by now! :lol:

I use stainless steel pans and I like them a lot, but as I am a vegetarian and don't eat meat (or eggs) I can't really speak as to how they perform in that regard.

Maybe in California but here in Florida Teflon/PTFE non-stick pans still line the shelves. Recently I needed a muffin pan and I went to several stores (two different grocery store chains, Target, Walmart, and Bed, Bath & Beyond) and all they had were Teflon-coated ones.

I finally found one without a PTFE coating at a thrift store.
