Pairing.

Postby sammisams » Thu Feb 14, 2013 5:52 pm

Hellooooo all. I just so happened to get a peachfaced love bird two days ago! I'm very excited and am already in love! :swaying: Taiyo is coming alog very will with trusting me. I do however have a parakeet named Kai :budgie: who will get onto my hand and rarely will eat out of it but that is all. I've had Him for over a year and he is still very very shy. Anyway, I was wondering is there a chance that Taiyo will pair with Kai? I'm afraid of this because I would like very much for Taiyo to trust me and have a very close loving relationship with him. Things seem to being going well I hope to have him target training soon enough. He's a curious little fella. Kai not so much. LOL thanks again.

Regardless of your concern, I strongly suggest they don't share a cage. This will limit the possibility of them bonding, and will allow you to continue hand taming each individually as well as ensuring that there is no aggression that could result in injury.

Thanks for the response. They are definitely kept in separate cages. They are, however kept in the same room.
