Are cd's safe to play with?

Postby Nir » Thu Jun 06, 2013 9:41 pm

Forest LOVES IT and mango likes it to but i always worry that they might break it and then cut themselves since the edges where they break it will probably be sharp. So are cd's okay to play with/destroy or any other things like that?

It depends on what the metal is made of and what kind of stuff is on the label. Mostly, they are made of a poly type plastic and aluminum. But sometimes other metals. Plus when they snap...they really snap in shards. I would read up on it though. Personally, I would not give one to my bird.

I would say no and not even bother to research it tbh. They probably only love them cuz their shiny so easy enough to substitute
