My tiels like things that have things they can pull out, like sisal rope with the end frayed and separated into 'threads', a raffia knot, that kind of thing... But not all of them play with these things, only a couple and not all the time either.

I remember my 'tiel liked to drag around the frames of some 3D glasses I used to have, and he loved walking over plastic bags when I first got him (supervised of course), and we also used to play tug-of-war with a hair tie. If you have a paper shredder, you could shred some plain paper and let your bird play with that.

It's been about two years now, so I can't really remember all the games we played together, but I'll think about it and comment again if I remember other things.

EDIT: Everything except for the paper was an outside of the cage, since my cockatiel was sent to his cage only for sleeping and meals.
