How to create a parrot training perch

NOTE: THIS DIY CONTAINS A TRIPOD THAT YOU CAN ACQUIRE FOR $4 (Well thats how much I got it for) MAKE SURE IT HAS A HOLE IN THE TRIPOD'S HANDLE

Hello Everyone,

I think that parrot perches are very over priced, so why not make your own? I use to own 1 Senegal parrot and he loved this perch so I want to share it with you.

Step 1. Acquire your favorite perch and tripod. I bought my tripod for $4 online with no shipping costs. It does not have to be the best tripod, my is cheap and it works fine.

Step 2. Adjust your tripods height that you desire and lock all the keys. (Tripods are very good for this because they can go really low or very high).

Step 3. Take the perch you desire and put the perch in the tripod's handle.

Looks quite good, but personally I would remove the tripod head and use the screw under it to mount a bigger and better perch, either to the side or as a T-perch. This could be done quite easily with a drill, a few nuts or screw.

Do you get what I mean :)?

I would not use a dowel, it's not good for their feet. A tree branch is better (and it's free -LOL)
