lint chocolate easter ribben bells

Postby Roonil Wazlib » Sun Apr 19, 2015 7:22 am

Just the other day I got some of those lint easter bunnies with the ribbon and bell attached to it. I was paying with Juilen and he seemed quite taken with it. I plan on getting some fore sure parrot safe versions of this toy, but untill then I was wondering if this is nontoxic for him? Thankyou

I am not sure what you are speaking of, so I don't know what to say, other than if you are in doubt as to its safety then don't get it until you have enough information to make an informed choice.

The only two metals you can safely use around parrots are stainless steel and anodized aluminum, anything else is dangerous - particularly bells with little clappers that can be swallowed.

I dont know if they are safe, but i know if Tilly finds one its hard to get it of her :P I have stopped letting her play with them, but when it was easter I let her with supervision. She went crazy over them! I wont let Tilly play with them again, just incase. But it is pretty cute watching them with it isnt it!!

You know, if someone will post a picture of one of them I will find one and find out if they may be safe for your bird. I just don't know what they are or what they look like.

plastic cat balls with a bell I the middle work great for little birds. myrtle gets the bell out o first try. I found a dog toy with a ball in a ball with a bell in the middle. that is a favorite toy for myrtle. Rambo does not play with toys but has fun with that ball.

Here you go, as you can see against my fingers, they are quite small.. Sorry, not great photos, never was much of a photographer.

Now I understand what you are talking about and although I can readily see how much fun our birds could have with them, I would not consider them to be remotely safe for them.

Be careful of ribbon too. Not only can they shred and get tangled but you don't know what was used for the color.
