parrot safe tape?

Postby Roonil Wazlib » Mon Apr 20, 2015 5:57 pm

So I made some basic foraging toys, and used sticky tape for some parts, hes not encouraged to tear at the tape, but he might be ripping at it because he is unsure on how the toy works - he actually just got his first legit nut after two days *proud* but anyway, I plan on making alot of my toys, amd just wondering if I could purchase parrot safe tape?
Thank you

I definitely wouldn't use tape. Tying things up with a safe material is a better idea. Leather lace, tear-able cotton rope, nylon/plastic strands, and stainless steel wire are your safer bets. If sticky tape is needed, you may want to entirely rethink your project.

Yes, no glue unless it's the most basic one made with flour and water.

 No, merely old (and, if you cook the 'paste', it will be even stickier).

The only safe parrot tape to use is vet wrap, it sticks only to itself, and it is what you should have on hand for emergencies too for bandaging up wounds.
