Just recently ordered a playstand from this one website.
https://bonkabirdtoys.com/sale-items/ac ... lay-stand/
It's a little colorful for my liking, but it's what I've been looking for in a stand: something I can hang a lot of toys on, and looks to be small enough to carry from room to room. It's also adjustable, so I can set it up any way I like, from what I understand. It's a pretty good price for its quality, especially since it's on sale right now.
I guess I should explain, that out of all the cockatiels I've had in the past, absolutely none of them hold a candle to the mischievousness and playfulness that is Lucy. She's practically on par with buddies regarding energy. The world is literally her toy! She can make a toy out of anything she could get her beak on, even her food (she loves to shred the heck out of broccoli). So I've been looking for a good stand or gym that can keep her occupied.
I'm hoping it can keep Alex occupied too. While he's still not nearly as busy as Lucy (surprisingly enough, since he's younger), he tends to want to be on me while I'm busy. I'm hoping he could at least learn to play independently more often. Then maybe he can stay out of my hair (literally).
I know it may sound like I'm getting tired of my birds, but it's quite the opposite. They're hilarious and make life exciting, but when you're trying to do homework on your laptop while trying to shoo one bird off your keyboard, and another is trying to hide in your hair, it makes it hard to concentrate.
I was trying to look for a more natural looking tree stand, but table top tree stands are more expensive, and sometimes they don't even have enough branches to hang toys on. I thought this would be a good option.
So what do you guys think? I guess it might be too late to ask if I made a good choice, since it's already been ordered. Still, opinions are welcome, and it would be nice to know whether or not my judgement was too off. I'm hoping you guys think it's as nice as I think it is.
