Here's a picture of Enkidu with my first attempts at making foot and foraging toys from scratch. The Cheerios on a Sisal Thread of course. The Dowels were grooved to give them an interesting chewable texture and tapered for a press-fit with no glue. I don't let him play with the cute little Alphabet block toys since the blocks are made in China and the dye may contain cadmium. They were sold in the rodent section of a local pet store and the main office still hasn't answered my request for information after two weeks. I'll order American made, or unpainted Alphabet Blocks if I don't here anything soon.
At the moment his favorite toy is the mechanical pencil I write with. We play 'Tug-of-War' and Scoot-the-bird-around-the-page while I'm writing.
