Sorry, no offense, but what's the point of one of those? It basically looks like a cage without the bars.

Well, I will be adding more toys to it. He enjoys it because its smaller than his cage and I can take it into whatever room we are in (the family) and it doesnt have to be on the furniture.. Which he could poop on or chew on. It makes life easier for me, because i dont have to worry about surprise poops, and gives him an easy way to socialize with the family. :-)

Agreed! I love having ours. It is definitely great for clipped birds. I don't have to rig something up so she can climb back to her cage when she's hungry or wants water or wants to play with her toys, she has it all there and it is minimum on messes! I hate the wooden dowel perches, but I put different kinds through the toy holes and they are very sturdy, so she doesn't even use the wooden dowels except to eat/drink. It is nice for it's portability too, but honestly, she's in the most active part of the house so I don't really move it. If I go to my room, I put her on a wicker basket. Grats on your stand, I hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

I have a very similar one and it's nice to have around the living room. Spruced up with a lot of toys, it allows them to be with us yet still play if they feel like doing it.

I do have to say that I do prefer the more natural looking trees I have but the metal one I have has proven to be useful.

On a similar note, has anyone had any experience with Acrobird (possibly only in the UK). My Senegal will be with me in around 2 weeks so looking to get the last bits I need.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have a similar one that used to be upstairs...now I've moved it downstairs.

It's great...all the birds use it too...gives them a fun place to hang out...and I've no territoriality issues with it at all...

I like it! I Just worry you will eventually have the same problem i did with your sennie chewing the wood in half. Mine lasted for quite sometime but HAD to be replaced because he started chewing right throught the perch he was standing on! HAHA thats why I went with the Metal and give him things that are wood to chew on :-) :senegal:

jhuff wrote:I like both, on #2 my only issue is, the ladder has very small wire rungs, whereas binx is used to a thicker rung, I know he would use it, BUT is that good for his feet?

When my dad bought his new cage, he cut small pieces of branch and cut a slit in the side of it, and slotted it over the rungs of the ladder of the playstand, as well as replacing the perch on the playstand. Much nicer on their feet, and the birds love digging out rivets along the wood, and ripped off all the bark.
