I got a small balsa toy from the Rosie line at "Les Jouets Rosie" (translated to Rosie's toys).

And I participated in a Secret Santa gift exchange on another forum and the birds got a few goodies, turns out my Secret Santa was the owner of Oliver's Garden!

secret santa is a great idea!, im definatly gonna do that next year! have over 200 birds at the zoo and keepers to trade between =p

Both of my birds will be getting shredding toys, I am sure they will have fun with opening presents as well.

i was reading up on birds loving grapevine, and toys made out of grapevine because its flexible but when it dries out its completely solid so you are able to make stuff out of it, put it out in the sun for 4 days for it to dry out and then give it to you're bird.

i was thinking to my self...i wish i would find some grapevines because it seems like an awesome material to work with. then it hit me he have grapes growing on our fence! guess whos made grapvine swings for there birds for xmas?? ME going to let them dry until friday night then add the clips and other bits and bobs to them.

iv taken a bunch of photos from the process what i will make a thread on once it is complete.

yay for grapvine!
